PS, the one other time in mankind' history when he almost broke out of the yoke of dogmatic tyranny was during the great greek era, 200,300,400? BC.

And the greeks were as good at science as they were at philosphy. And were better than any other culture, in both science or philosophy, for the next 1500 years after their destruction by Rome!

Science and philosophy are two manifestations of the same phenomonen, like matter and energy.
