Chris, the "partisanship" back in Jesus' day was between the Pharisees and the Sauducees, but Jesus would not align himself with either. He had criticism for both sides, but mostly for the Pharisees. You could equate the Pharisees with today's religious right, but that doesn't mean Jesus would have been a Democrat. Tenchusatsu
