VIASPACE CEO Presents at World Methanol Conference

PASADENA, Calif., Dec 03, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- VIASPACE Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VSPC) CEO Dr. Carl Kukkonen gave an invited presentation at the 25th annual World Methanol Conference held in Orlando, Florida November 27-29, 2007. The annual international conference covers existing and future markets for methanol. Dr. Kukkonen's presentation was on "Methanol Fuel Cells-Portable Electronics and Automotive Applications." Methanol fuel cells represent a new energy market for the industry.
The conference, with over 200 attendees, featured presentations on methanol markets, bio methanol, green methanol, methanol and energy, biodiesel fuel which is made using methanol, as well as global trends in the marketplace. China has turned out to be one of the largest users of methanol and is planning to blend methanol with gasoline as an automotive fuel. Presenters and attendees represented the largest methanol and petrochemical companies in the world.
