I saw ROK's CEO on CNBC this a.m. and I was left with the conclusion that KFlakes&reg is in even more trouble than we know.

They asked him directly about the problems with chips.

At first he skirted the issue, spewing the standard BS about product transition, new technology, blah, blah, blah.

As they pressed harder he said that one of the problems has been lack of an ITU standard. THEN SAID that he "THOUGHT" that the standard "PROBABLY" would contain a "FEW" pieces of the ROK version.
He sounded unbelieveably wishy-washy about this.

Also, ASSend blamed alot of their earnings shortfall to problems with the ROK "cheap-chip".
When asked about it, he danced around that issue by talking about the product transition with TNT and never did address the chip question.
IN FACT, he didn't sound like he really knew what the hell ASSend makes!
Said ASSend made products for the "server side", and I almost thought he was gonna say "whatever that is".

I'll post more as I remember it. I sure wish I had taped the damn thing. My jaw dropped in lower and lower as the interview went on.

Anyone else see it?
I'd love to know some other opinion's to see if they match mine.

He also made some vague reference about ISPs "PROBABLY (there's that word again) crossing over as we speak".
ABSOLUTELY no conviction behind his words.
Sounded like a man whistlin' past the graveyard to me.
