I don't think you fully understand the terms you bandy about.....at this point, China is closer to capitalism than any other economic system. The Soviet Union was a dictatorship where any economic system played a distant second.

The same could be said, but not reasonably.

The Soviet Union was socialist. The best that socialist can say about it was that it was a poor implementation. It fits the definition directly.

China's system doesn't really fit the definition of capitalism. Arguably even the US's doesn't but we are closer.
