Leo, you make an interesting point. If they really want to send the message that the selloff is unfounded without actually saying anything at all, what better way than to announce a split. IF the selloff is unfounded and the stock will soon be at 70-80 anyway and a split will be needed, so if they announce it a little early, it sure indicates where they expect the stock to be soon.
