I don't think ANYTHING I do has macroeconomic consequences.

I just have to keep my small investments, real estate holdings, and pensions afloat - not that easy a thing when the elephants are dancing in the same field.

Wasn't it John Connolly who said "the dollar is our currency but your problem," when Nixon closed the gold window?

My opinion, for whatever it is worth, is that US political globalists let the dollar rise too far to support third world (mainly China and Mexico?) and the start of the Euro, and that cost us the loss of US industry and exploded the balance of trade problem.

Whatever the macroeconomics and politics and currency wars, it is painful for a lot of people.
