"...they're no threat to Israel either.

No threat in the imminent sense I suppose. However, Iran representing Shia Islam as well as a Nation in and of itself has oil wealth and is building nuclear power wealth none of which will go unmarketed to Asia or where ever they choose to wield influence. I don't see them as a Nuclear threat to anyone except in the sense that there nuclear energy developments could help launch them as a world economic power.

They don't need to launch nuclear bombs, they can grow enriched uranium and sell it to entities who build nuclear bombs or use their wealth to encourage others to have nuke fights and sit quietly by growing their economic power and influence over satellite armies like Hesbollah, the badr brigade, and the Mahdi Army. It is becoming more and more apparent that a crescent of Shi'ite collaborate power is developing from Iran, into and through Iraq, onto Syria and extending over to Lebanon. Given the rhetoric coming from Ahmadenijad that would give me cause to pause if I were an Israeli and stand on my toes in vigilance for the duration.

A 'no threat' attitude taken by Isrealis under the circumstances would seem a bit dismissive, if not down right neglegent, but then I'm not walking in their shoes.
