Why penalize those that showed fiscal restraint? you do realize that when the FED cut rates to 1% they effectively forced people to take on risk... i'm not saying there should be a bailout just that when we all use fiat currency and credit standards are lowered along with rates to nearly zero, a reasonable person would HAVE too take out a loan in order to keep up with the decline in purchasing power.
