I don't think that's the case...Yes, Johnson got us into the vietnam war, but it was heavily escalated and into Laos and Cambodia, lasting another 5+ years under Nixon. And Republicans will say "Nixon ended the Vietnam war" and at the same time, they claim - we shoulda stayed, we coulda won...WHAT? that's what I read here.
