And another scandal or at least a cause for outrage is Why does Paulson look so unprofessional, to the point of incompetence?

Wouldn't anyone else start with Who are the interested parties and is there a global solution? He would have gotten input from many "sides".

But he came out first with private talks in August so key players had material, non-public information just knowing those talks were taking place. The kind of info that should have been public by Reg FD.

It looks like GS was one of the few who took advantage of that knowledge.

Then 13 weeks later, he says I have a solution or we have a solution or we'll have one by the end of the week, end of the month.

If (really, when) there is no solution from his efforts, or it affects very few, the markets will be disappointed and he'll look similar to Colin Powell carrying the Administration's water.
