In this particular case it looks like this dude is still on trial? If he is it doesn't look very good for him when one of his own officers is testifying against him with such damning evidence. I seem to recall seeing this particular case being investigated on some tv show not too long ago. Don't remember all the details but I do remember that the evidence they were trotting out was not very good for the leader. Its only when this guy is found guilty or not guilty that I would tell you if Savage's actions were commendable. IMO his blind support is very irresponsible and risky unless he was actually there and knew the truth.
