Hey Pete, I'm using 50,000 shares as "natural volume", again because NASDAQ counts each side of a trade for reported volume.

I'd argue the establishment of large holders is bullish; however, IMO the presence of large momentum holders has to be considered negative. I agree a Warren Buffett buy and hold type doesn't matter; however, the presence of these momentum guys are an accident waiting to happen.

Shorting these hype stocks on the way up, taking my short term losses in order to make the big money on the collapse has worked for me on Snapple, CNXS, Netscape, and CIG. I'm not saying your style won't work (I always like learning other ways to play the market), but I'm confident mine will eventually. Perhaps we can agree to disagree on the timing of this one.

BTW I drove cross country to college one year with the son of a Grinnell professor. Did you grow up in the Midwest?
