"Even now, government bureaucrats have better insurance thus receive better medical care than most private individuals including many of the financially successful in this country."

...that's a far cry from "determining your end of life."

Secondly, I seriously doubt that government bureaucrats receive better medical care than any "financially successful." Perhaps just as good or almost as good, but surely not "better."

You believe that all financially successful people have better health insurance than most government bureaucrats? Having befriended many government employees, I have compared insurance polices with them, most have had much better coverage than I had at the same point in time.

Having the acquaintance of many financially successful people, I can tell you that many of them are not inclined to buy marginal improvements in things like insurance. They have enough to cover themselves and their families, but having gold plated policies is not a priority for them.

Heck I seem to recall a recent post from John Fowler claiming he is not a successful enough attorney to provide any health insurance to his employee(s).
