One of my biggest concerns on the road is the car next to me deciding to change into my lane. I'm extra cautious on the highway and try not to spend much time exactly along side another car. I'll speed up to get just far enough past to be comfortable he can see me, or drop back for the same reason. Our Denver metro area is full of very poor drivers, and all are speeding. When I have the option, I will always take the "back" way and stay off the main streets or freeways.
