Dear Mark,

Unless you're a totally niave individual, & from your postings I know you're not, then Global Warming and the exponential escalation thereof should be waving a giant red flag in your mind. If mankind doesn't face this issue now, the window of opportunity to change our course before climatic chaos sets in will be missed. Our investments won't mean anything (nor will currencies -- maybe not even precious metals), the most valuable commodity may be a loaf of bread! Sound dramitic? There is irrefutable, widely supported, scientific evidence worldwide. The evidence is coming in from all angles. You're a tech anaylst, check out the corn yields/drought years/chart, and any other commodity. Check out news releases from around the world to see what's going on there, the % chage of humidity in the Amazon rainforest (whats left of them), the movement of tree species from one area towards another, and the list goes on and on and on. Not only should you be interested, you should be ACTIVELY supporting change. analogy: We are all in a huge tanker, moving at full speed. Our tanker cannot turn fast, nor can it stop, and we are heading for a big reef. If we don't begin a slow turn and to decelerate we are going to hit the reef.

I do appreciate you asking -- it's more than the majority of folks are doing. I am a free mkt guy and think the answer to the problems lie in the mktplace. Thus the Global Warming Thread to ferret out companies involved in dealing with the problem. ie Ballard Power bldpf.

Sincerely, thanks for the interest, I hope I get you on the bandwagon.
