"If there's bo collapse?" Lots of people have "an interest in making sure the US economy does not weaken further"

A couple of billions -from Abu Dhabi's Mubadala to steady the US economy. Boost Citigroup. Paulson get a bit more assertive. Comes with plan to stop foreclosures.

Consumer must be confident. Always remember that. Next USD stops falling and stops driving the anxiety of those people who have an interest that the US economy does not weaken further.

Money for that? A lot! Sovereign funds kick in, glad to be investing, largely content to pour money into low-return, low-profile investments.

They reason: the devil that we know (the US) may not be as ugly as the devil that we don't know (the Chinese).

Anyone convinced that we are beyiond collapse as my Thread states?

It down there, across the Persian Gulf, the ones that can tip the scale. They don't want scale tpo be tipped. Anyone afradi of the Arabs now? Not likely. The jobs of the Citigroup employees have been saved. In New York, there might be a few people happy now. You can even call it the "public realtions act of the Arabs" to allay further fears. Not to mention that they are syphoning USD for their oil and that may raise concerns.
