Skiers, fire-eaters and an ice sculptor joined

As an avid life long skier (therefore, SkiNowSki) I have a lot of sympathy for that sub-segment of the population. They (we) tend to be a fun bunch. But do they possess any particular expertize with regard to climate issues? No, they do not. Cannot speak for fire eaters - and the ice sculptor - but it's safe to assume that they are not much better.

So, what gives them the confidence to be so active and outspoken on this complex issue? There is no doubt that many of those demonstrators are intelligent enough (at least those among the skiers) to realize that in reality they may not know their arse from their ski bindings when it comes to big scale global thaws and chills.

Clearly, the emotion that drives them is the good ol' herding instinct. I don't care about the fire eaters - and the ice sculptor - but I am disappointed that many skiers fell in so uncritically with the feel good crowd.
