Thanks Midland, yes PALM does look interesting. I'm going to look into it deeper.

** EDIT: PALM doesn't look so simple as that. See Oct 24th PR "Elevation has purchased $325 million of a new series of convertible preferred stock. The conversion price is $8.50 per share. Elevation will own approximately 27 percent of Palm’s outstanding common stock on an as-converted basis, based on the number of shares of common stock outstanding as of August 31, 2007.

The company secured commitments for $400 million of new debt......."

I'll toss in a couple others at almost price to cash.

GNSS, and SGTL.

Also, one of last years Jan effect candidates is not only lower, but is also less than net cash now - FORD.

This December seems like there is more/better to choose from than the last few years for Jan effect plays.
