Engine shutting off at 5 ft or less above surface would explain point (2).

I watched about 30 min of the movie. At the very beginning some old guy from Rocketdyne talked about analyses performed 1959 timeframe indicating skepticism about a moon landing. Things changed quickly because the government upped funding an order of magnitude. I realized that the flag seeming to flap in the moon breeze could be explained by dynamics. I wondered about whether a telescope on earth had resolution to locate items astronauts left on moon. The article indicated no, not even Hubble Telescope had resolution necessary.
