My thought on this:

1. Look at earnings estimates for brokerages and banks - they're being revised down weekly (sound familiar?)

2. One man's junk is another man's treasure - doesn't mean it's going to be worth as much to investors in 6-12 months from now

3. Good time to pump these up since earnings start this week (LEH) and next (GS, BSC) - and I expect massive write-downs, which will likely spook the markets.
