Generalizations are often useful, but when you get to specifics generalizations often fail.

I am sorry for the tone that this exchange has taken, but the dispute on this thread has become about distinctions between self interest and selfishness and policy differences between plutocratic and plebian advocacy. There are those on this thread that try to turn things upside down and suggest that the powerless are really more fortunate and and have more power than the powerful. That policy should rightfully be geared toward the powerful.

Your helpfulness wrt finding vet service for an indigent is laudable regardless how repulsed you may feel concerning the person you are trying to help and her feelings of "entitlement".
