Equity levels are propped and maintained to show everything is fine and support the "statistics" that shows solid "growth" (mostly from concealed raging inflation) and inflation that is "contained" with concealed 18% M3 growth and an 8% dollar drop in the last 3 months. I call it a ladder structure - jam the futures higher in 15 minutes or so, then put a limit bid, to allow no more than 1 SP point decline. However, it is impossible to prop the dollar with printed dollars. The eventual result of this "tooling"? A currency meltdown.
