It can be interesting talking to people from majors eh, they're not like us, don't think like we do ... completely different mindset because they're in a completely different position - got lots of properties to work on, lots of money to work with [well, in reasonable times, not so much six and ten years ago], but always subject to strict bean-counters, they have to justify everything economically right from the start
You could not run a junior with too much of this attitude, and you couldn't run one for long without enough of it, there's a balance in there between prudence and enterprise, chances must be taken but only after careful assessment of odds ... if there were only majors there would be precious few mines, still if there were only juniors we wouldn't have the exit strategies we do
mr.to - so he likes Metallica best, well it wouldn't be the first time that tyc's picks worked out, they may be right, Xstrata is putting big bucks into el Morro, chances are they think similarly ... i like the warrants, it's like leverage on leverage, has to trade up heading into january fease time, provided that not too much news of start-up problems comes from Cerro San Pedro
Low grade or narrow widths in high-cost country mean huge energy and/or labour expense, makes Mexico and lands south more attractive, all else being equal ... i had a bit of the kxl.v but sold it, just don't know, wasn't much because my main bid was waiting for a fill of the gap to 3.75, might stick that back in there, might not |
