Hmm, you seem to be dancing around so fast you have stopped making sense.

The sentence "The square root of 4 is +2." means there is only one square root. The "The" nails that down. Now, if you wanted to say +2 is just one of the possibilities, a proper sentence would be "A square root of 4 is +2".
