"That is disingenuious of you to characterize that I advocate that remark."

Mary, you made the remark. Using humor to state an opinion that is offensive is not an effective screen against offense. I occasionally offend people by what I write, and when I become aware of it I apologize. It is instructive that rather than admitting you might have been offensive you instead chose to attack me for being offended.

"it was made after reference was made that everyone had access to dental care if they only avail themselves to dental students at dental colleges for treatment."

So are you saying it is offensive that people actually allow dental students to work on them rather than practice dental care by extraction? What exactly is offensive about having a better standard of care than one's means would otherwise provide in an fair trade exchange? Is it that government didn't force the rich to submit to the same standard of care that offends you?

"not find it offensive for poor people to get treatment from students training to be doctors."

My father in law received dental care that he could not have afforded otherwise. He would be offended at your presumptuousness. You appear to know little about the people you presume to speak for, nor their values.
