Maybe it would be helpful if you defined how you're using "safety net." To me "safety net," which I fully support, means that we don't leave people bleeding in the street or gasping for breath from emphysema. OTOH, since you are offended by the suggestion that the poor could get some dental work done via dental schools, that you are looking to providing identical medical treatment to the poor to that available to the rich. Just what do you mean by safety net? Are you talking about appendectomy or are you proposing universal orthodonture on Park Avenue at the taxpayers' expense? Please define your term.

Plutocrats using their allies in this country spread fear to insure that their privileges not only remain undiminished but also to promote the notion that increasing the disparity is a good thing.

That's way over the top. Even if it weren't, a plutocrat is not the same thing as a capitalist. I don't see any plutocrats here.
