Repeaters will be big in both HFC(hundreds in feet) and fiber optical(mile long) networks. It is important to put into the system, when time division multiplexers will carry edge QAM signals. There seemed to be some doubts, if the merger has a valid reason. The repeater market is going to be very big, with many older slow networks that can be improved by repeaters reasonably priced. We are looking for power darlingtons and laser diode with temperature ovens(dwdm).
