"Liberal" is an old-fashioned term we don't relate to anymore. Just as Bushies are not at all conservative about anything. Progressives have progressed in other words. And true conservatives are hard to find. But we are 100% proud and were 100% right about opposing the disasterous dishonest pack of lies and murderous corruption which was the Vietnam War. And we were right about opposing Reagan's pro-corporate anti-middleclass policies. And Iran Contra. And the S+L debacle. Reagan got away with is because of charisma, but his policies have proven to be a disaster for us long term. The rich get richer, the corporations can steal and cheat all they like and everyone else gets the short end of the stick. Returning to the Cold War or Robber Baron days or McCarthyism is a terrible awful idea. Modern honest conservatism of Barry Goldwater hardly even exists anymore thanks to the crooks in the Bush-Cheney gang. They're just semi-organzied corporate criminals. They are not interested in conserving anything. Just look at Halliburton and Blackwater and Enron. Those are their boys.
