"Everything" doesn't apply in all cases because you have different degrees of socialism.

Congratulations. There isn't a country in the world without some degree of socialism. Why? Because sometimes a collective approach to a problem offers a better solution.

1 - A collective approach doesn't have to be a government approach or any approach involving force.

2 - Yes a collective approach, even a government approach sometimes can be a better solution, but in many cases, the government approach is not better, and that type of approach is taken far too often.

3 - Even if the government approach is a better solution, that doesn't mean it does not reduce freedom. In some situations the benefits may be worth the lost freedom any other costs, but even when that is true it doesn't mean the costs are not real or should just be ignored.
