"As we get beat up by sub prime slime as nausea,I think we're setting up for a 2008 turn around in SCE demand that will much approach the 1998 Asian Contagion diversion."

Some people have suggested that historically minimum wage increases have acted to damped the economy. Since the first one really didn't do anything but iron out the few anomalous regions and industries that had avoided increasing wages because of local issues I am not convinced the first one will have the magnitude that previous ones have. The next two increases however may have a larger negative impact.

I read a projection that by 2009 laptop shipments will exceed desktop shipments. INTC is highly dependent on both procurement cycles and on consumers feeling well enough off to spring for new gear. 2008 may well turn out to be a better year than 2009 for SC sales.

Of course the economic impact of the Presidential election cycle could induce interesting fluctuations on securities markets.
