Earlier in the year and more recently several small and a few large companies have disappointed "the street" by saying growth in their business have slowed due to telcos indicision to spend because of regulatory uncertainties/deregulation. Remember Telcos are major buyers of Unix systems.

Look at OSII, RETX and CSCO earlier in the year.
