If you look at the statements of Jesus, MOST of them concern the poor and sick.

And none of them involve taking from other in order to help the poor an sick. Giving of your own wealth sure, accepting contributions perhaps, but not taking from others whether or not they want you to do so.

One of his disciples was a tax collector.

Who quit that job to follow Jesus, he didn't remain a tax collector.

I'm not trying to slam tax collectors, but Jesus never called for high taxes.

His statements concerning the wealthy concerned how their wealth prevented them from attaining heaven.

He suggested the wealthy man give his wealth away, not that someone should take it from him.
