If you consider Americans tremendous CC debt as just more bad loans, we're going to look like a nation of deadbeats soon. How many Americans make the minimum payment that will NEVER pay off their debt, while having absolutely no savings? Job loss through even a mild recession could trigger a repeat of the current crisis.
