well Bush and republicans are really in bed with big oil. But honestly that Oklahoma guy who still doesn't believe in global warming (Inhoff) is just becoming more and more marginalized. They are only hurting themselves.

Solar startups are on fire out here. Theres one called solyndra getting a lot of buzz. According to the mercury news it is now cost effective for retail in california to install solar panels and get off the grid in the hot summer months. People and companies still remember Enron and the blackouts we had due to that in 2001, hence solar on retail is exploding. HP was a really huge corporate one just announced, but it is everywhere. Since I think most solars are capacity constrained I am not too concerned about the energy bill. Next year the democrats will implement something for solar when Bush is gone, this time the voters are demanding it.
