Solar is going to do great especially when reality sinks into the public. A number of my Boeing engineering buddies are becoming worried that Boeing may give up making airliners if fuel costs do what a lot of us are thinking in the near future. We are thinking of a 15 to 30 year time frame here. It's strictly a physics and material science problem going forward. PV's of most flavors are a slam dunk for roof top installations. Here is the beauty.. shade your home from heat in the summer and get lots of KW's in return. As installed costs drop this thing is only going to get better. I thought a lot and finally put down a deposit on the Tesla. Looks like a possible late 2009 delivery. By then a Dem is in the White House and renewables are back in for solar. (my hopes!) And the car runs totally off the sun.
