Bill - would you be willing to elaborate a bit on Fareed's article? I read his stuff and watch his show but all I get from this piece is "Don't worry, be happy".

To recover its place in the world, the United States should first recover its confidence.
If American confidence has been lost, it can be recovered by..?

The crucial project for the next president will be to change the basic focus of U.S. foreign policy, away from the Middle East and toward the Far East.
