PCSS,
<<12 of approx 36 analyst following CPQ have raised their guess #s over the past 30 days. Their #s are still changeable.>>

You gotta be kidding. I though analysts actually forecasted for a living. Bobo the chimp could do the 'forecasting' this close to release date. I know, why not wait till next Thursday to predict. I'll bet they could get close then.

Seriously, I would want to deal with a broker whose analyst was good enough at reading the industry and the company well at least a quarter out. That way you would have the opportunity to buy on dips rather than a run up as earnings approached. I guess what irritates me is that the earnings expectations as well as the 'whisper number' continue to increase as the event nears. I wonder if the perception by the market of how well the company truly has done declines as the 'whisper number' increases. If the numbers keep growing, will $0.75 be enough to satisfy the street? I would like to see CPQ break out of this range in the near future. -Keith-
