We started out wrong to begin with.......I think? We used an old rabbit hutch for their bed which they didn't seem to like much. We didn't change out the hay very often, and it gets so wet and muddy here that their run was just mucky and yucky. We hated going in to get the eggs there was so much poop mixed with mud everywhere. We used a pan for their water which they continually knocked over and were just awful chicken owners. Poor things......... If I were to do it again, I'd read everything I could about raising them on line before I'd repeat that horrible experience. It was a pathetic situation.
