It certainly was a brutal year. I was wondering if anybody was actually lagging behind my trashed portfolio. It sounds like you might have been pulling up the rear, not me :)
Although, even with a few implosions, I knew there was still great opportunity, and, even potential to actually pull into first place! I believe, with slightly different timeframes, things will look quite different. In this game, you have got to find those 5X-10X winners to beat the odds.

Finally, SI has re-introduced the portfolio function. I simply entered my portfolio with the beginning price and share quantity. Then, I was able to load my portfolio to check on progress vs. the posted leader board. I also bookmarked the page containing each starting portfolio. IMO, it is a good exercise to examine the winning stocks from the leader board, if for no other reason than to initiate research.
