All good points. Just remember not to get behind Obama should he get the nomination. Its okay to sit out an election.

Obama is a great man, but Edwards would run stronger against the GOP and be much harder for them to attack. It's not that I prefer one man over the other, it's that I know that Edwards and Edwards alone might be able to win 1-5 red states and make it a blow-out landslide. Only then would we know that the margin of victory is too big for Rovians to cheat and steal it once again.

Also, I am not as idealistic as you about the country being ready for a woman or black president. I very much doubt it is in the final analysis, and that comes down to swing states like Missouri, Virginia and Colorado, states Dems need if Romney is the nominee and he wins New Hampshire.

See what I mean?

Florida also remains the big question mark. I believe Edwards would nail Florida. But Obama? Not likely.
