Sure it is, Tench. When the government spends money it doesn't have, where do they spend it? It goes mainly to salaries, although some will get spent on goods of various types. In either case, the money winds up in pockets of people who spend it on stuff. In addition, it tends to go into pockets of people who spend much of what they get. So it tends to have a higher velocity than money that goes into tax cuts which tends to go into pockets who don't spend a large of percentage of their income.

So it is letting the market do its thing.
