Middle men in this situation have to go back to the drawing board and figure out how they can become part of the solution. Right now, all they do is increase costs (marketing, sales, and other expenses) without doing anything useful for the profits they make. Maybe out in some garage somewhere there is a Steve Jobs or Bill Gates who has a design for packaging health care products and services that can cut out all waste and redundancy and make that industry part of the solution rather than be at the center of the problem. In the mean time people who get sick can not wait. Government has to step in and fill in the missing pieces. The solution has to involve everyone in the health care community. They have to come together and work in partnership with each other and government to solve the problem. Faith in some divine (invisible hand) intervention can take, like,forever.
