Yes Chris Creative has an audio chip set they sell to OEMs, and the volume is increasing in this lower margin area--- at the expense of board sales. Yes Chris CD-ROM was a very large problem in the past and continues to be a low margin area for Creative. But Chris, recently the pressure has been to the top line (Revenue) not the bottom line. Creative managment has done a very good job of reducing internal costs and have passed those savings to the bottom line, but internal costs can only be reduced to certain levels, and as a % of sales they are about as low as possible at this time (per management's view as expressed in one of their-- as you call them-- "Marketing Documents") I encourage you to pick up the annual reports and subsequent quarterly reports, and maybe even read them.
Chris, you don't have to convince me that this company has potential. If I didn't believe in management's ability to adapt to the marketplace I wouldn't be holding several K of the stock. Go out and convince others that management's concern regarding pricing pressure-- as they indicate in their "marketing documents"-- is unrealistic, and perhaps then the PE of this issue will begin to approach that of others in the field-- and we will all be sitting on a $45 stock.
Best Wishes

PS Could you please give your enlightened view on what effect the expiration of the Pioneer Certificate will have on the company?
