We need a transition period to sort things out. Middle men in this situation have to go back to the drawing board and figure out how they can become part of the solution. Right now, all they do is increase costs (marketing, sales, and other expenses) without doing anything useful for the profits they make. As much as I'm not a huge fan of the insurance companies, its unreasonable to say that they don't do anything useful. Faith in some divine (invisible hand) intervention can take, like,forever. So can faith that government gets it right.
