I am serious. I don't know what good they actually do. I see them as gate keepers collecting a fee. I don't know what they contribute. If that is all they do, why not just pay them a fee (like a black mail fee) and see them go away. This way they don't do any more harm. This way a lot of the overhead and unnecessary expenses (and perhaps corruption) will go away.

What am I missing?
