Of course not, but when government needs to provide a service, that should never be confused with "putting money into the economy." Why? That's exactly what it is. Reminds me of tax-n-spend liberals "creating jobs" by hiring more government employees at the taxpayer's expense. A LOT more government jobs were created under Bush than "liberal" Clinton. In fact he claimed to shrink government employment, which I believe is still in dispute. But he did make the effort. Government, I believe, is the countries number one employer (at least it was at one point). You can't deny governments influence on the economy. And a lot of the spending is for important public works and infrastructure... things that allow all of us to be creative in other businesses. Government spending is not evil...
