Price inflation is a lagging phenomenon. I believe there is a lot of speculation in grains and in fact commodities in general. Look to Japan for a model. Prices on stuff did not fall that much. Prices on assets collapsed. I expect the same situation here. Our debt levels makes this far worse. Mish
