Edwards could unite the country. He is the only one who can. Because he is very popular amongst reasonable Republicans and rural heartland voters, including in red states. That means he can bridge the great divide. He is exactly what this country needs. The last thing we need is an empty selfish elitist suit like Romney or a Baptist evangelical like Huckabee. People have realized Guiliani is a soiled bag of garbage so he is finished. Edwards is also highly preferable to Hillary and due to the GOP's penchant for making racist attack ads, more electable than Obama. Edwards is basically immune to GOP smear campaigns. They have nothing on him at all. Today's lead political story on all the networks is that Edwards may pull the ultimate upset and become our next president. I am betting he will.
