Lee, keep in mind that this people aim to make money and are not really interested to validate the Bible as the word of God even if the author became a Christian it will take him some time to grow in the knowledge of our LORD and SAVIOR. New Christians don't make mature Christians, so some of the hype of the world will show through(IMHO). The code also is not able to predict future events only past events as I understand it. There must be some one out there claiming to predict future events but I doubt that is possible due to the fact that you have to know exactly what you are looking for beforehand in order to compare it with the code in the Scripture.
